The webinar focused primarily on criminal background checks in healthcare. The attendees learned about the role of the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), the Department of Health (DOH), and the process for exemptions from the respective agencies.  The presentation included information on how a health care professional with a criminal background who is otherwise disqualified from employment can obtain an exemption from disqualification and return to work.

Attorney Strong has over ten years of healthcare law experience, and Attorney Brown has practiced criminal law for more than ten years. Utilizing their expertise, both attorneys discussed how a criminal conviction or plea could affect a client’s healthcare career.
